The system

A solid 2 cm plywood base with softly rounded edges, finished with organic wood oil. Every hole in it fits a scratching post, of any height.
Solid wood posts wrapped in natural cotton or sisal rope. Each one fixes to the base with a flat-head hex socket screw and washer, tightened with a 6 mm Allen wrench.
Rounded or squared, 44 cm across. A holder sits on top of any post with a steel screw, carries a platform out to the side, and is followed by another post or a cap. Or skip the holder and mount a platform straight on top of a post.
Ultra-soft 3 cm eco-fur pads press on with Velcro. Give one a shake to refresh it, or swap in a new one in seconds.
Swap the cap for another post and keep climbing. Posts stack on holders, so the same parts reach all the way up to our 215 cm kits.
Add a felted wool cave, a hanging toy, an end platform with a view. Built to hold several cats at once, even mid-play.

Bases are cut from solid 20 mm plywood, platforms and holders from 15 mm, and every surface is finished with 100% organic wood oil. Nothing hollow, nothing that peels.

Every hole in the base fits any post, of any height. Platforms lock in place with stainless knurled screws and T-nut flanges, and you can angle them in several planes.

That is the whole idea. Start with a basic set-up and add posts, platforms, caves and toys as your cat grows. Every part fits every other part, so one kit gives you countless combinations, up to our 215 cm kits.
Replace only that part. Posts, platforms, fur pads, wool caves, toys and fittings are all sold on their own, and each one fits the tree you already have.
No extra tools required. Everything joins with hex, hairpin and knurled screws. Each post fixes to the base with a flat-head hex socket screw and washer, tightened with a 6 mm Allen wrench. Posts join with hairpin screws, platforms lock with stainless knurled screws and T-nut flanges, and the fur simply presses on with Velcro.
